When body language in not enough to express a concept, let’s write it on your skin to show to all.
March 8, International Women’s Day, is a holiday celebrated in more than one hundred countries. This year, the campus team in Rome created a unique way to celebrate the holiday, providing a platform for women’s voices to be heard. The event, entitled ‘Cara Donna’, or Dear Woman, was a huge success with over 80 people in attendance. According to Linda Acunto, photographer and Agape staff member in Rome, “‘Cara Donna’ was a creative campaign that gave opportunity to women to express themselves with a message to others written on their body.”
Photo sessions were held in which women had the opportunity to write messages on their bodies in eyeliner. They were then beautifully photographed and the images were displayed in an exhibition on International Women’s Day. People had the opportunity to see and reflect upon the messages. Here two videos, a teaser and the backstage of the photo session.
